Impact Point Simon Rosser Books
With main characters in different parts of the world, it takes time to set them up in the story line and bring them together. This author did a wonderful job! Fast paced once that was done. Excellent research. And, I liked that he didn't spend half a chapter describing each town! No! This author had a story to tell and did he ever keep me glued to the pages! WELL DONE! I will be reading more of his work.

Impact Point Simon Rosser Books Reviews
This is the second novel by this author that I have read, and this will not be the last. This novel is an excellent mix of eco-thriller, sc-fi, adventure all rolled into one. We all know from our general knowledge and movies about doomsday predictions, of the Earth being devasted by an asteroid hit, or even Hollywood's attempt at stopping such space rocks from hitting the Earth, and yet this novel does not appear stale or uninteresting. The author seems to have done reasonable amounts of research to present sound scientific facts, and has done an admirable job of using the science to tell an entertaining story. The novel is unpretentious, and there are no indications of an overreach by the author -- he confines himself to his knowledge and research to tell a tale in simple, lucid English. The ebook edition has a few editing errors, and the formatting is a tad clumsy (mainly, the chapters start from a mid page or the page bottom), though. Overall, very highly recommended.
Again, as I find in much modern literature, way too much violence and unrealistic chase scenes. Also, it becomes clear that the author did not research U S culture very well as indicated by his reference to mountain bikers in the southwest heading home for tea time and other reference that make it apparent the author is unfamiliar with U S culture.
Environmental issues and causes are rarely the stuff of thrillers but Si Rosser magically creates edge-of-your-seat excitement, from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of the solar system. Bravo!
I would have given Impact Point five stars, were it not for the dsitracting spelling errors. E.g. that capital of Nevada is not Carlson City, but Carson City and U-tube is a more apt reference to the London underground than the video social networking site called YouTube.
Read the book. You will not only enjoy the experience but will also learn a few things about our collective home.
I enjoyed the fast-paced tempo, characters, plot and subplots. I would have given it five stars, but when American English mixes with British English I just wish the author would have the right version of English written for the proper character. Americans don't say "drove to the car park". We "park the car"or "drive to the parking lot". Very minor thing unless you're trying to obtain believability. With that said, I would still highly recommend this book and the author, Simon Rosser.
The beginning was slow. Several separate story lines were started but none of them were especially interesting. The action picked up and with it my interest. At one point there are two adolescent boys racing down a hill in Arizona because they are in a hurry to have tea. What? That scene was so out of place that it broke my ability to suspend disbelief. After a short break I picked it up again and finished the book.
I enjoyed this story! I found the characters believable, the heroes likeable (even those that start off a bit roughly), and the global action and adventure of the story engaging. Yes, it is fiction so some 'stretching' does happen but this is what I like my fictional heroes to be like and to act.
I didn't find too many grammatical or editorial errors. The author does a good job of writing a story with a decidedly British origin in a way that we colonists can understand and enjoy.
Overall, this book kept my interest from the beginning to the end and I liked the way it was resolved. I have another of the author's books on my and I'm looking forward to getting to this book in a while.
I don't think I have ever read a book so fast. I was entranced with the excellent writing style fell in love with the characters. I had to laugh at early part of the book when they talk about the sun rising over the Pacific. That would be alright if they weren't going over the Golden gate bridge. Trust and Englishman. I know as I am married to a English Women. I saw one other part where Spires hits a guy carrying a gun causing to drop it and then bends over and takes the gun from his waist band. All in all though I thoroughly enjoyed it (the book).
