The book concludes the arc with Nadia's boss and his plans to save elves from dark one occupation. on one side it neatly ties all the McGuffins Nadia collected into the story, on the other it is quite underwhelming given how hyped up the "Grand Design" was over the course of the series. Good conclusion but not as great as the previous installments.

Also major plot hole, if the elves on world Big McGuffin won, then how are they all dead now? Or if they died in the final battle, then how does anyone know they won in the first place?

Great series and looking forward for the next phase of Nadia's life. Definitely worth reading. I have enjoyed every series I have read by Jonathan Moeller.
The author wraps up ALL of the loose ends for this series in an excellent and captivating final book.
I ha e really enjoyed this series. I had no idea how it would end but that's what holds my interest. If you are looking for fun, you are in the right place when you start reading this set of books.
This was the book I didn’t even know I needed! Cloak Games Sky Hammer was a great conclusion to Nicholas Connor, but Mage Fall resolves the open question of what happens with the Dark Ones, Archons and Lord Morvilind. And provides even more back story on other places like the Shadowlands.
I put ending in quotes because Mr. Moeller doesn't end his epic sagas as such. Nadia is as happy as she gets - engaged to be married, her brother's cured, they're wealthy and she doesn't have to work for ArchMage Morvilind any longer. Well, about that last one...
I think all of the Cloak Games books have been great, but this one tops them all. I won't spoil it for anyone with details, but the twists and turns in the plot and unexpected revelations kept me in suspense the entire book. Mr. Moeller definitely outdid himself with this one - and if you've read ANY of his other books, you can appreciate just how hard the could be.
I always knew morvilind wasnt that bad, I mean guy was trying do hard to save the elfs he had to be good... also great ending to the arch I have to admit a little easy to defeat the anchors but I cannot see it happening any other way
